Stories :

The Contest

The trouble began, as these stories so often do, with a crime. Lucius, the favored son of Desmodeus, the ruler of the gods, stole his father's lustre and used its power to create his own world. Furious at his son and desperate to reclaim the powerful lustre, Desmodeus consulted Galantia, the sage of the gods. It was she who told him that only a mortal from the world he had been dreaming of could retrieve the lost lustre. Alas, such a retrieval would come at great cost. Desmodeus would lose what was most precious to him.
Deciding that he had already lost the lustre, his most precious possession, Desmodeus paid no heed to the sage's warning. Instead, he demanded that his two daughters, Althea and Vestinel, create the world from his dreams. Surely one of them would be able to bring the mortal he needed into being and he would be able to retrieve the powerful artifact.
Both daughters created worlds they thought would produce mortals that could retrieve the lustre. Althea created the bright, beautiful world of Verathea as well as its residents: the dragons, the ancients, the elves, and the humans. These stalwart mortals, she felt, were best suited to the difficult task of finding the lustre. Vestinel, on the other hand, crafted a world of darkness and subtlety. The mortals of her world possessed the ruthlessness, callousness, and determination to seek out the lustre at all costs. When they showed their father their creations, Desmodeus laughed in delight at Althea's world, but was horrified by Vestinel's.
Jealous and angry, Vestinel poisoned her sister with an insidious poison, one made of her own dark essence. This would be her last act in the home of the gods. She was forced to flee to where Desmodeus' power could not reach her. Alas, even this justice could not help Althea, for in her flight Vestinel took the magical chalice that could have cured her.
It was only then that Desmodeus realized he should have listened to the sage, for he had indeed lost the thing most precious to him—not the stolen lustre, but the love of his two daughters.

The Breaking of The World

As Vestinel's corruption seeped into Althea, so too did it spread in her creation, the world of Verathea, which was an extension of the goddess herself. The dragons and humans were least affected by the deteriorating state of the goddess. The ancients and the elves, on the other hand, were greatly influenced by her weakening state. For the elves, death came to a race that had only ever known immortality, and they began to die off, one by one.

Even that atrocity was nothing compared to the fall of the ancients. The corruption of Vestinel did not weaken their bodies, but rather their souls. The ancients grew discontented with their place in the universe and desired instead to supplant the gods themselves. In order to gain this power, they attempted to manipulate the Monolith, the very heart of the world. The dragons, long the watchmen of the goddess Althea, discovered what they were up to and tried to stop this dangerous and foolish action. Alas, they failed, and the ancients' bumbling caused the Monolith to explode.
The Great Catastrophe
The explosion of the Monolith changed the world. Most of the ancients were killed by the explosion. Those who survived were shamed by their actions and went into hiding. The face of the world was altered. Every continent save Altera was destroyed. However, the worst effect of the explosion was the gash it tore between Verathea and its dark twin, the nameless world of evil created by Vestinel. It was from this dark world that the great evil entered Verathea—the Void Dragon.

New Best Web Browser Game MMORPG!!

It’s set to be the best browser game of all time. Is it one of the greatest?
Over the years the games like World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online, and Star Wars: The Old Republic that now makes an open beta test and generates roughly 1.5 million registrants have set the bar for MMO RPG gaming, there’s no denying those games’ influence on the industry. Pearl Heroes, as a browser game, bears the weight of heavy expectations on its shoulders to compete with those famous franchises as a MMORPG game. Frankly speaking, I have never played such a gorgeous addicting browser online game before, and the web games in my mind used to be dumb, boring, which are consisted of Div and Css and can barely provide any good game experience. It turns out that Pearl Heroes totally changes my mind.

Pearl Heroes is a free MMORPG that is available to play online via your Flash-enabled browser. Based on the highly-successful Pearl Three Kingdoms mobile game in China, it represents the company’s first foray into the world market. It is a free-to-play game, with items available for purchase within the game.

The game is set in the much-revered Three Kingdoms era (220–280 C.E.) of Ancient China, a period marked by strife, upheaval, and the rapid rise and fall of rival nations within a divided empire. The three kingdoms of Wei, Wu, and Shu fought for ultimate control of the Empire, and many famous battles and figures emerged as legend from this period. With the intrigue of romance, deception, betrayal, and sacrifice the Three Kingdoms creates a splendid backdrop for game players.

Pearl Heroes is a MMORPG with the theme of three kingdoms. There are three factionsto choose the same as in the story 3ko, the Wei, Shu and Wu. Each faction has a quest, npc, and different monsters.

There are three characters: Warrior, Assassin, Wizard, Priest with four attributes:Strength, Intelligence, Agility, and Stamina

Interactions character has Eight features;
- Auction house
- Chat
- Mail
- Marriage
- PvP
- Trading

- Guild
- Mounts

For the vast majority of the experience, the PvP system in the Pearl Heroes can not be missed. The PvP in the game includes three types.
1. Players in the same faction can initiate a combat, you click the portrait of the character you choose, choose the “PK” option in the dropdown menu. However, the other play can choose to accept your combat invitation or not.
2. If the players don’t belong to the same faction, it’s allowed for each to eliminate the hostile opponents, there is no combat switch or option to enable.
3. The most amazing part in PvP of Pearl Heroes is “Faction battle”. Variants players fight for their faction in a zone, all the skills and spells being cast, based on the team spirits, all the players corporate and play their role in the team in order to win the battle.
The last thing I want to talk about the Pearl Heroes is the game sound. Everything you hear is a true delight and the soundtrack fits in with the events of the game nicely.
Closing comments:
When you look at the total package, Pearl Heroes is hands-down one of the best browser game out there, and a truly amazing offering across MMORPG. Unbelievably, the developers at Pearl Heroes managed to deliver a longer, deeper, and more graphically beautiful game than even they thought was originally possible. Pearl Heroes is not perfect, but there’s really little to complain about. Pearl Heroes is a must-have browser MMORPG game, there’s no denying its rightful place at the top. It’s just that good. Faction Players Stat : Wu : about 45% Shu : about 43% Wei : about 12%

New Yu Gi Oh Playing Games Online : Dueling Network!

Well i think i can speak for everyone when i say that im completly and utterly in love with this website <3 it gives you access to every and any card in both the TCG and the OCG and to be honest i believe the game should be like this in reality were everyone has Dualitys, Warnings, good syncs, ect to make it fairy instead of the game being about who ever can afford these cards anyway i love the program what about you?
50% don't know the rules 48% are asses 2% are not watching and missed your winning play, got mad at you, then joined the 48%.
This site is frequently up-to-the-date, and is very successful so far I ever see. And if you should mean by "Fairly", because "Fairy" is already exist. I would suggest you to check the Rulings more often to keep yourself in touch with correct and error of the games. Most of the times, newbie duelists are ignorance of the rulings and usually to be ass like that. If you are manage to get YVD download and play it, then I would congratulation you for that, since my laptop quit using it for few months.
Well, what I am saying is; This site is updating very frequently and is very successfully out of all sites. Sorry about my grammar.
Well.. yeah but, what does that have to do with www.DuelingNetwork.com?
A lot of people there don't know the rules and there are a huge number of asses but there's quite a few decent people who respect the rules and accept the fact that you can "misclick".
It's a good website, but i have to explain simple things to people. Like what a "chain" is and what "cost" is. it gets annoying.
i feel you auto.. just the other day i was dueling someone who didnt know what priority was. i summon my brio and he tried to trap hole it .. been there for probably 10 minutes trying to explain that i have priority over his effect because its my turn (yes he plays in the tcg format).
I don't really like dueling network too much. I've had someone call me a net decker for using a six samurai deck (I build the deck itself and my version was rubbish in comparison to the six samrai decks you see in tournaments).
I also don't like how the cards and life points don't manage them selves after activating them (im the nintendo DS games the system keeps track life points, cards resovling). The DS games are a lot less confusing they tell you when you can or can 't activate cards, or if you've missed the timing. Also I just don't think it is fun as the DS games no story line , duel puzzles , booster packs nothing that really interests me. To be honest the only reason using it is because my nintendo is broken and I want to be able to play yugioh somehow whem im not at the tournaments
The reason the cards don't manage themselves is because it would take to long to make the website do that. Konami can do it because once they did it one time, they can just use the same code over and over. Remember, there are like 5000+ cards, I wouldn't want to program them all :\
the dueling network is awesome site i only been on there for 2 days or so and its doing great so far even tho the server crashes sometimes. in terms of duelists, well so far i encounter 3 douche bags that insulted me just because i was winning the duel and i think that's not cool, i think everyone should have respect among each other and be friendly because after all it just game. I let people do take back on their moves if they mess up becuase everyone dont click on the right command sometimes. my point is not only the site but reality you win some and you lose some dont get anal about learned from your losses and work out your deck.
I find the site useful for testing out decks. But i find people can't follow basic rules and explaining it to them is time consuming. Its good place to test skills and use meta decks u will never own and OCG cards are fun to fuck with people!
if anyone wants to duel or add me my name there is also Ren Ozora, im on a few times a week.
Put me in the group who thinks most of the players on there don't know the game; I've had the same guy drop out twice on me, first when I called him for trying to negate my Royal Oppression after I had already negated his Special Summon and he had ended his turn, then after he negated my second Offerings to the Doomed (really underrated card, that) of the turn, and he insisted I skipped my next two draw phases. Also had someone drop me because he wanted to play "casual", and the very first (and only, before he dropped) card I played - Upstart Goblin - he accused of being elitist. Not surprisingly, most of the people who do this when I play them wind up playing the top tournament decks, so take that as you will; you don't know how many of these people run blackwings.
There's also a few problems with the website; they still haven't put in any Exceeds, yet (though that's probably due to an issue with programming the overlay mechanic), and there's no option to add an opponent's card to your hand (for the purpose of Exchange/Amazoness Chain Master and the like).
If you saw their Forums, you'd know that they are in the process of fixing this.
Yeah, but how long will it be before they do fix it? There's not even an option to choose where to put your cards on the field, so how am I going to be able to play a Senet Switch deck, if I so choose? Anyway, speaking of idiots on that site, I just got a ragequitter who insisted I couldn't play Dark Hole without setting it for a turn, first, because "it wasn't a quickplay", and then argued I had to skip my battle phase if I DID activate it. Seriously, it's like half of these guys don't read the rules, and the other half attempt to rewrite them when they don't like the outcome.
The website has been up for just over a month, give the one guy running it a break. Besides, who in the world plays Senet Switch? There are much more important features to put in, such as match duels and a counter management system. Just because a few problematic cards don't work isn't a reason to forgo the whole site. And as for the noobs, all you have to do is not duel people with low rating/rep and 90% of your problems are solved.
